THE CSSCGC'S VERY OWN RZX ARCHIVE
Occasionally, I've had messages, either on Spectrum forums or through email, telling me that the games featured in this year's competition are either too hard, or too crap, to complete - or even see more than one screen. For those who are too lazy to play through them and see all that they have to offer, I present my own version of Daren Pearcy's RZX Archive. There are a few CSSCGC entries from previous years on his main site (including my all-time masterpiece from 2020); any from this year that I've played through myself, I'll host them here and it's up to Daren if he wants to host them himself. (I suspect not!)
It can be assumed that all of these have been made using Rollback to make sure there were no mistakes or wasted time losing piles and piles of lives. Some weren't, such as Magiapotagia, but it'll always be utterly obvious if the game didn't need it - usually in the cases where it's barely a "game" at all.
Through a combination of Fuse, its Interface 2 emulation and ROM images of Paul Farrow's ZX81 and ZX80 emulation cartridges for the 128K Spectrum, it is possible to make RZX files for ZX81 and ZX80 games. Not all of them will work, though - Don't Panic, MotoRace81 and Zhunder Vlade did not run as they should when subjected to double-emulation.
